Le cabaret Tabarin
This set of Jules Richard photos, circa 1920, are from a cabaret which my French friend referred to as a place for the middle class wanting to "slum it." I have a set of names for dancers at Tabarin, but do not know which are which. The women referenced were named Gaby, Bianca, Liane, Lea, Frou-Frou, D'Jalai, Mistral, Mascotte, Fleurette, Galipette and Tourbillon. The second photo in this set must include a pair of sisters as the top two look very much alike. Tabarin was located in Paris in the middle of Montmarte.
